Most exporters pick target markets on gut feel or a trade-show conversation. Import export data lets you replace that guess with evidence: you can see exactly who is importing your product, in which countries, and in what volumes — right now.
Find the importers
Pull the importers (consignees) receiving shipments under your product’s HS code. Each is a company that is already buying what you sell. Rank them by volume and frequency to find the serious, repeat buyers.
Size the market before you enter
Before committing marketing budget to a country, check how much of your product it actually imports and whether the trend is rising or falling. A market with growing import volumes and fragmented suppliers is far easier to enter than a shrinking one locked up by two incumbents.
Learn from your competitors’ buyers
Look at who your competitors ship to. Those consignees have a proven need for your product and a working import process — often the fastest path to a first order is a better offer to a buyer who is already importing something similar.
Browse by commodity to see the top importing countries for your product, then open any market for the buyer-level detail.
